This facility for the Health Sciences Department at the University of Waterloo provides clinics, offices and student facilities while responding creatively to the University’s masterplan. The building marks the corner of a new campus quad and creates a ramped entry sequence into this outdoor space. The building is composed of two wings—a community outreach component that creates a welcoming presence on the campus ring road, and student facilities which are integrally connected to the existing building. Other facilities include multi-media classrooms, a lecture hall, project space, clinics, administration offices, a seminar room and student lounge.
