Nestled into a sloping site, this two-storey school building design draws elementary and middle school students to enter from the lower level, while high school students enter from the upper level. The building contains 12 classrooms as well as specialty science, art, computer science, physical education and music classrooms equipped with tiered seating.
The design for the school is inspired by the site conditions, which include the formation of the bedrock and the surrounding forest. An important design consideration was to create a building that can be used by both students and community alike—a flexible, accessible and inviting place.
